Bologna Knock Out Inter on Penalties to Reach Italian Super Cup Final

Bologna faced Inter Milan in the semi-final of the Italian Super Cup. In the first half, Bastoni provided an assist, and Thuram scored a lightning opener. Bisseck then conceded a penalty for handball, and Orsolini converted from the spot to level the score. Neither side managed to score in the second half, and after 90 minutes the match ended in a draw, sending it to a penalty shootout. In the shootout, Bastoni, Barella, and Bonny all missed their penalties. Inter lost the shootout 2–3 and were eliminated by Bologna 3–4 on aggregate.
